TERRANGA - COLLECTION SS 2016
LIBREVILLE
©ROOTSMagazine - Photo by Chrisse Johnson Photography - Niamey 2015
This second collection is inspired by the Designer's return to her childhood country Gabon. It is the representation of the image she gets from the modern african woman. All the collection is a mix between modern cuts allied with traditional african wax and comfortable occidental fabrics to express contemporary woman's liberty to choose her own path in this world. Terranga means "hospitality" in wolof (Senegal).
The fabrics used in this collection are a mix of an arabic inspired mosaic silk print associated to a silk jersey, some red woven cotton, hand-dyed brown silk, african wax fabric, satin duchess, crepe and cotton toile.
